tune probably isnt helping if its not dialed. wind exposes bad tune way more than calm air does. if youre getting prop wash or oscillations on corrections those get way worse when youre also fighting
so ive been flying for about 8 months now mostly calm days in sport mode on my fpv freestyle build and i feel pretty solid on those days. but anytime there's any real wind ? like even 12-15mph ? i feel like im just reacting constantly instead of actually flying. like i'll set up for a dive and then get pushed sideways and have to over-correct and the whole line goes to garbage.
ive heard people say you should "fly the wind" but i honestly dont know what that actually means in practice. do you preemptively lean into gusts or do you just let the quad handle it and make small corrections? im running a 5inch with betaflight, filters are tuned decently i think, rates are like 600 deg/s on roll and pitch. not sure if this is a tune thing or just a skill thing or both. any thoughts would help
