do I need to register my drone in every state or just once federally?

yeah same thing happened to me when i drove up to Oregon last fall, thought i was good and then found out the specific park i wanted to fly at had a complete ban even for part 107 operators. cost me l
so i just got my part 107 a few months ago and i mostly fly in my home state but im planning a road trip this summer and want to bring my mavic along for some landscape shots. i registered with the FAA already and have my number on the drone but my buddy was telling me some states have their own rules on top of the federal stuff and now im second guessing whether ive done enough. like do i need to do something separately for each state i pass through or is the FAA registration basically good everywhere? i tried googling but i get a mix of answers and some of the articles are from like 2019 so i dont know whats still current
