this has been bugging me for a while now. im fairly new to this, only had my drone maybe 3 weeks, its the mini se if that matters. every time i let go of the sticks it doesnt really stay in one place, it kind of drifts. not like crazy drifting but enough that if i look away for a second its moved maybe 5 or 6 feet from where i left it hovering. is this normal or is something wrong with it. i calibrated the compass before i flew it the first time but i dont know if i need to do that again or if its something else. flying in a park near some trees if that changes anything

could be a few things honestly. if youre near trees or any kind of obstruction the GPS signal can get a little sketchy and it wont hold position as well as it would in open sky. also wind is a factor even if it doesnt feel that windy at ground level, up at 20 or 30 feet it can be pushing the drone around more than you think. what does the GPS icon look like in the app when youre flying, how many satellites is it showing

also worth checking if youre actually in P mode and not sport mode, in sport mode it doesnt use obstacle avoidance and the position hold isnt as aggressive. probably not the issue but worth checking if you havent already

some drift is just normal tbh, no drone hovers perfectly still especially if theres any wind at all. 5-6 feet isnt that alarming to me. if it was like 20 feet id be more concerned. i wouldnt stress too much about it unless its getting noticeably worse
