went to my first organized group flight thing last sunday, the club does them once a month at a local sports complex with a big open field out back. i was kind of nervous bringing my stuff cause i figured everyone would have these insane setups and id look dumb rolling up with my avata 2. but honestly it was nothing like that, super relaxed, couple older guys with massive fixed wing planes, some fpv racers doing laps around cones they set up, and a few people just hovering around taking photos. one dude spent like 45 minutes talking to me about betaflight tuning even though i barely asked, which was cool but also a lot to take in at once. definitely going back next month, maybe ill actually fly more instead of just watching

thats pretty much how every meetup ive been to goes. the fixed wing guys are always there and they alwyas have the most interesting builds if you stop to look. and yeah someone will absolutely corner you and talk about betaflight whether you want them to or not, its basically a rule at these things

avata 2 is a solid thing to bring honestly, people always want to try the goggles if you let them. i brought mine to a meetup a few months ago and ended up with a little crowd around me which was unexpected. dont undersell your gear just cause its not a custom build
