nd filters actually worth it or just another thing to spend money on

ok so ive been flying for about 8 months now mostly just recreational stuff, got a air 2s. a friend of mine keeps telling me i need to get nd filters and that my footage looks wrong without them. i watched a couple youtube videos about the 180 degree shutter rule and i think i get the concept but honestly my footage looks fine to me on the screen when im reviewing it. maybe im just not noticing what im supposed to notice?

are nd filters something thats more obvious on a bigger screen or in editing or is it one of those things where once you see it you cant unsee it. dont want to spend $60-80 on a filter set if its going to make basically zero difference for someone at my level.

yeah once you start noticing the jello effect and unnatural motion blur in bright conditions you really cant unsee it. that said if youre just posting stuff to instagram or watching on your phone you might genuinely not notice and the filters wont matter much. if you ever plan to do anything serious with the footage or put it on a bigger screen though its pretty obvious. the nd16 and nd64 get the most use in my kit, the others barely come out.
