random question but do any of you guys have like a pre-flight ritual or is that just me

ok this is kind of embarrassing but i realized i do the exact same thing every single time before i fly. check batteries twice even if i already know theyre charged, walk the area even for spots ive flown a hundred times, always put my phone in do not disturb before arming. its like i cant start without doing all of it in order or it feels wrong. my wife thinks im being weird about it but i crashed once years ago because i rushed and i think it just stuck with me. curious if other people have quirks like this or if i should be concerned about myself lol

not weird at all, i do basically the same thing. i also always check wind direction by just wetting my finger like some kind of farmer from 1890 even though i have a weather app open on the same phone

I just started flying a few months ago and I already have a whole routine that probably takes longer than it should. I think its just one of those things where the cost of NOT doing it one time is too

I just started flying a few months ago and I already have a whole routine that probably takes longer than it should. I think its just one of those things where the cost of NOT doing it one time is too high so you just always do it. Also the crash thing makes total sense, I nearly lost mine in a tree my second week because I was rushing and now im almost annoyingly careful before every single flight.
