I'm trying to decide between the Nano+ and Lite+ for aerial photography. I mainly shoot landscapes and want great image quality but I also value portability since I hike to remote locations. The Nano+ is $799 while the Lite+ is $1,399.

The weight difference is significant - Nano+ at 249g doesn't need FAA registration while Lite+ weighs 820g. But I've heard the Lite+ has a much better camera sensor. What's your experience with image quality between these two?

The Lite+ has a 1-inch CMOS camera which allows the maximum amount of light to create the highest quality photos. For serious landscape photography, that larger sensor makes a noticeable difference especially in challenging lighting conditions.

For hiking, that 249g weight is a game changer! The Nano+ is also one of the few drones that can add three-way obstacle avoidance to a 249g drone. Unless you absolutely need the best image quality, the Nano+ is more practical for your use case.

Your decision depends on your skill level and photography needs - both are very good drones, everything starts from the customer's needs. I went with the Nano+ as a beginner and couldn't be happier with the image quality for the price point.
