switching from DJI Agras to a Chinese knockoff for spraying ? anyone done this

so ive been running a T40 for about 8 months now on a mid-size wheat operation (~400 acres) and honestly the machine itself is fine but the service costs and parts availability in my region is killing me. dealer is 3 hours away and last time i needed a pump replaced it took almost 3 weeks to get the part which during a fungicide window is basically catastrophic.

been looking at some of the XAG stuff and also one of the JT Agri systems a buddy of mine imported last year. he seems pretty happy with it but his operation is smaller and he's doing mostly fruit trees so the flight patterns are kind of different. not sure if the coverage algorithms on those are as dialed in for wide row crops.

main thing i care about is flow rate consistency and whether the breakpoint spraying actually works reliably at field edges. the T40 does this really well, overlap is minimal. anyone made a similar switch and lived to tell about it or did it end badly

ran XAG P100 for a season before going back to Agras honestly. the hardware itself is solid and parts were way easier to source but the mission planning software drove me insane. it works but its not as intuitive and when you're doing 80 acres before lunch you dont want to be fiddling with the app. breakpoint spraying worked fine for me on soybeans though, no real complaints there. the pump calibration process is just tedious compared to what you're used to on the T40.

JT Agri I have zero experience with so cant help you there. heard mixed things but its mostly secondhand.

the parts thing is real, same problem here in the midwest. i dont do spraying but i monitor a lot and even for basic sensor swaps the DJI ag ecosystem feels like it was designed to keep you dependent on the dealer. kinda frustrating when you know exactly what the problem is and just cant get the component.
