EVO II Pro or EVO II 8k ? which one actually makes sense for most people

ok so ive been going back and forth on this for like three weeks now and i cant decide. i mostly shoot real estate and some landscape stuff on weekends. the 8k sounds impressive obviously but honestly im not sure i even have a workflow that handles 8k files properly, my laptop already struggles with 4k edits in premiere.

the Pro with the 1 inch sensor seems like the smarter pick for actual image quality vs resolution, like i know sensor size matters more than megapixel count but then i start second guessing myself when i see the 8k footage samples online. anyone switched between them or tried both? i dont want to spend another month reading spec sheets.

went through the exact same thing last year. ended up getting the Pro and honestly havent regretted it once. the dynamic range on that 1 inch sensor in tricky lighting ? like golden hour with harsh shadows ? is just noticeably better than what i was getting with my old mavic. for real estate the files are also way more manageable and clients genuinely cant tell the difference between 6k and 8k on a web listing anyway.

the 8k makes sense if you're doing big prints or heavy crop work but for most commercial stuff the Pro is just the more practical tool. also autel's color science on that sensor is pretty solid straight out of camera if you're shooting in their standard profile, though i always shoot raw anyway.

i have the 8k version and tbh the files are a pain sometimes. need a fast card too or you get buffer issues. if youre already struggling with 4k editing id probably just go Pro unless you plan to upgrade your machine soon
