so i went out yesterday fully planning to do a whole mapping run over the back field and instead i just... hovered it like 40 feet up and watched the feed for like half an hour. didnt record anything, didnt move it around, just vibed. the wind was doing this weird thing where it was gusty but then completely calm and i kept waiting for it to pick up again. anyway never did the mapping run. felt fine about it honestly.

yeah man this is basically my whole saturday routine now. i tell my wife im going out to 'test something' and then i just find a thermal or a weird air pocket and let the altitude hold do its thing while i drink coffee. not even watching the feed half the time just kind of standing there. its like the drone equivalent of staring at a campfire i think.
