yeah so this happened. flying into Morocco last week and customs just took my mavic 3 at the airport, apparently you need some kind of import permit or declaration that I had absolutely no idea about. did zero research on this one which was obviously my mistake

they gave me a receipt and said I could pick it up on the way out which I did thankfully but it sat in a customs office for 8 days while I was there. whole trip I was just using my phone camera like an idiot. lesson learned I guess, always look up the specific country rules not just the EU airspace stuff

Morocco is actually one of the trickier ones, I looked into it before a trip two years ago and just left the drone at home because the permit process looked like a nightmare. some people get waved through no problem and others get hit hard, seems pretty inconsistent from what I've read

this is why I always check the CASA or equivalent authority website for wherever im going plus usually search something like "drone morocco reddit" just to see actual recent experiences from other pilots. official rules and what actually happens at the border are sometimes two very diffrent things
