passed my 107 but honestly the test felt kinda random??

ok so i passed which is great but i came out of the testing center feeling weird about it. like i studied airspace classifications for weeks and got maybe 2 questions on that. but then there were all these questions about airport operations and loading and performance stuff that i kind of half-assed in my prep because everyone said focus on airspace. one question i genuinely had no idea what they were asking, something about crew resource management i think, ended up guessing and apparently got it right. i dunno it just felt like the test could have been completely different questions and id have failed. is that a common experience or did i just get a weird version of it

yeah the test pulls from a pretty large question bank so everyones experience is kinda different. i had a ton of weather stuff on mine, like way more than i expected. my buddy took it the same week and said he barely got any weather questions but had a bunch on airspace. the FAA rotates and updates the pool so theres no way to really game it, which is probably the point. the fact that you studied broadly enough to still pass even with unexpected topics is kind of the whole idea i think. congrats though, the recency of the test stress fades fast lol

crew resource management on a part 107 test is a bit odd honestly, that feels more like it belongs on a manned aircraft cert. could have been one of those questions they throw in to evaluate without counting it toward your score, the FAA does that sometimes to test new questions. either way you passed so who cares at this point
