so this has been bugging me for like two weeks now. i had my 5inch dialed in really nicely, was flying it every weekend and it felt great. then i updated betaflight to mess around with some filtering settings and now the whole thing just feels... slow? like not slow in terms of speed obviously but the response feels mushy, especially on roll. it used to snap and now its like flying through syrup almost.

i didnt change the physical build at all, same motors same props same battery. i did mess with the master multiplier and the TPA a bit but i thought i put them back. honestly i might not have saved the right profile i dont remember. running BF 4.4.1 on a speedybee f405 v3 if that matters. rates are the same i checked those.

not really sure what else to tell you, its just different and its driving me crazy because it was perfect before

first thing id do is diff all in the CLI and compare it to whatever backup you have. you do have a backup right? if not, lesson learned for next time, always save a config before poking at stuff.

the mushy roll thing sounds like it could be P term being too low or D term being too high, both can cause that kind of sluggish feeling. also check if your filtering got changed ? if the gyro lowpass cutoff got dragged down that'll make everything feel delayed and soft. speedybee f405 should be fine but sometimes when you update BF it resets certain filter defaults back and they're more conservative than what you had. i'd look at the gyro and dterm lowpass frequencies first before touching PIDs again.
