yeah the geo-fencing thing was the exact reason i went Autel too, bought an EVO II Pro about two years ago and never looked back. the app has gotten better over time i'll say that much, early versions

how does it handle wind? thats always been my concern with the lighter autel models, i fly near the coast a lot and anything under like 500g just gets pushed around too much for me to trust it
so ive been going back and forth between the Lite+ and the Mini 3 Pro for like four months and i finally just pulled the trigger on the Autel. main reason was the no geo-fencing thing, i fly in some areas where i dont want to deal with DJI's unlock process every single time. also the 1 inch sensor on the Lite+ is just hard to walk away from for the price.
first couple flights have been really good honestly. the image quality in low light is noticeably better than my old Mini 2 and the colors out of camera are warmer which i actually prefer. the Autel Sky app has some quirks though ? it feels a little less polished than DJI Fly but its not unworkable, you get used to where everything is.
one thing that surprised me is how quiet this thing is. i was expecting it to be louder than the Mini 2 but its genuinely pretty comparable. battery life is solid, getting close to the advertised 40 min which almost never happens with DJI's numbers in my experience.
anyway if anyones on the fence and cares about that open airspace stuff, the Lite+ is worth a serious look. happy to answer questions if anyone has them.
