Well, it happened. Lost my brand new Potensic drone yesterday after just two flights. Sharing my mistakes so you don't repeat them:

• Flew way too far out thinking GPS would save me
• Ignored the low battery warning because it 'looked close'
• Had no idea which way the drone was facing when trying to bring it back
• Panicked when the connection got weak instead of using RTH

The most common beginner mistake is flying too far, too fast - often without knowing how to bring the drone back when it's facing the opposite direction. Never let your drone disappear from view even if the camera feed is working - GPS can fail. Sorry for your loss, but thanks for sharing the lesson.

Always land with at least 20% battery remaining and set battery warnings at 25%. When you panic, just release both sticks to hover, then calmly fly back or use the RTH button. These are expensive lessons but they make us all better pilots.

Ouch, that stings! I almost made the same mistake on my third flight but caught myself. Practice flying in manual mode without GPS assistance - if something goes wrong, you need to know how to fly without all that help. Hope you find it!
