so this has been bugging me for a while and i finally decided to post about it. my nano plus just drops signal way sooner than it should. i know the specs say something like 10km but obviously that's in ideal conditions i get that, but 200 meters is just ridiculous. im flying in a pretty open area too, not like downtown surrounded by buildings or anything. mostly open fields near my house.

already tried the obvious stuff like making sure the antennas on the controller are positioned correctly and updating firmware. still happens. sometimes it reconnects after a few seconds and sometimes it just goes into return to home which is fine i guess but annoying. not sure if its interference from something or if i got a lemon unit or what. anyone dealt with this or have any idea where to even start diagnosing it

had something similar with mine and it turned out to be a wifi channel interference issue ? there was a farm irrigation system nearby that was apparently putting out a lot of 2.4ghz noise, had no idea. if your nano plus is set to 2.4ghz only try switching it to 5.8 or auto and see if that changes anything. also worth checking if theres any power lines nearby even if they seem far away, those can mess with signal more than you'd think.

if none of that helps honestly might be worth contacting autel support, ive heard their support is actually pretty decent compared to some companies. might be a hardware issue with the antenna connection inside the unit.

what firmware version are you on? there was a period where a certain firmware release had some known connection issues and people were rolling back. cant remember the exact version off the top of my head but worth checking the autel forums or their facebook group, someone there will know which one it was. the facebook group is actually pretty active for autel stuff.
