my quad just feels dead in freestyle, what am I missing with the tune

so ive been flying freestyle for maybe 8 months now and my 5inch feels super sluggish when i try to do stuff like split s or even just snap rolls. like the rolls finish but theres this weird wobble at the end and it just doesnt feel snappy at all. running betaflight 4.4 and i messed with the rates a bit but honestly i dont really know what im doing in the pid tuning side of things. not sure if its my rates or my pids or just the tune in general. been watching a bunch of videos but everyone seems to have a different opinion on where to start

the end of roll wobble is almost definitely d term being too low or your p being too high relative to it. i had the exact same thing for months before someone told me to just bump d up a few clicks and it cleaned up so much. also check if you have iterm relax set up properly because that'll cause the same kind of bounce. dont touch rates until the pids feel decent or youll just be fighting two problems at once

what motors and props are you running? i feel like that matters a lot too, some combos are just naturally twitchy or mushy no matter what you do in betaflight. my old 2306s on tri blades felt like garbage for freestyle until i swapped to bi blade and everything got way more responsive. just throwing that out there
