haha cant help you there because i bought one and im not even a little bit sorry. came from a 3.5 inch toothpick build and yeah the avata 2 is definitely not the same feeling but its not trying to be.

honestly the avata 2 isnt really aimed at people who already build their own quads, youre probably already past needing what it offers in terms of ease of use. the footage quality is good but a decent
so this is kind of a vent post but also a genuine question. ive been flying line of sight stuff for about two years, got reasonably comfortable on a 5 inch freestyle build i put together last year, been flying mostly in the local park and some abandoned lot spots. recently started getting into fpv video more seriously and watching a lot of raw footage online.
the avata 2 keeps coming up and i watched probably too many youtube videos about it this week. i know its a completely diffrent beast from what im used to - its not really a freestyle machine in the same way, more cinematic fpv right - but the stabilization looks insane and the image quality coming out of that thing is wild for something that size. my homemade quad looks and flies great but the footage is always a bit rough compared to the polished stuff i see from the avata.
my actual question i guess is whether people who came from real freestyle backgrounds feel like the avata 2 is limiting or whether it scratched the itch. because if its just gonna feel like flying a camera on rails ill probably pass but if theres actual flying satisfaction in it id consider selling some stuff to fund it
