so this has been bugging me for a while and i finally have time to post about it. my EVO II Pro just randomly drops the video feed for a second or two, maybe every 10-15 minutes of flight, then it comes back like nothing happened. no warning, no error message in the app, just a blip. the telemetry doesnt drop, only the video feed. drone keeps flying fine during it.

ive tried different frequencies in the controller settings and it doesnt seem to make a difference. usually flying in semi-rural areas so interference shouldnt be that bad. firmware is up to date as of last month. im starting to wonder if its a hardware thing or something with my tablet since im using a fairly old android tablet as my screen.

not a huge deal since it comes back quick but its annoying when youre trying to get a shot and it blips at the worst moment. any ideas would be appreciated, havent found anything definitive searching around.

yeah i had something really similar with mine a while back and it turned out to be the tablet. older android devices sometimes cant keep up with the video decoding fast enough especially if you have background apps running. i switched to a newer phone and the dropouts basically stopped. worth trying with a different device before assuming its the drone or controller.

also check if your USB cable is fully seated, sounds dumb but a slightly loose connection can cause exactly that kind of intermittent video dropout while telemetry stays fine since they use different data paths on some setups.

mine did this too and i never fully solved it honestly. i just kind of accepted it as a quirk. i think the Skylink transmission system on the EVO II can be a bit sensitive depending on your environment, i noticed it happened more near tree lines for me which made me think multipath interference maybe? but im just guessing. the fact that your telemetry stays up is a good sign at least, means the control link is solid so its more of an annoyance than a real safety thing. still, would be nice to fix. following this thread to see if someone has a better answer.
