the RC controller heating up is totally normal, mine does the same thing. DJI acknowledged it somewhere on their forums i think, it's partly the screen brightness trying to compensate for the sunlight

wait so you cant just use the footage directly without editing it when shooting in that log mode? i just ordered a Mavic 3 Classic and was planning to barely touch the footage lol. maybe ill just leav
so i picked up the Mavic 3 Classic about three weeks ago after months of going back and forth between it and the Air 3 and honestly im really happy with the choice but man there were a few things that caught me off guard the first couple flights
first one is the return to home altitude. i left it at the default and nearly had a heart attack when it climbed way higher than i expected before coming back. nothing bad happened but i was flying near some trees and it was closer than i was comfortable with. definitely set that manually before you fly anywhere with obstacles nearby
also the Hasselblad color profile is not going to look great straight out of camera if youre shooting in D-Log M, i kept wondering why my footage looked so flat and washed out until someone told me thats literally the point and you grade it in post. seems obvious in hindsight but nobody really spelled that out for me anywhere
the RC controller is great but i do notice it gets pretty warm in direct sun, like uncomfortably warm to hold after maybe 45 mins. not sure if thats normal or if i have a weird unit. anyone else had that?
