my race times are plateauing and i dont know what to actually fix

im kind of in the same boat so following this thread. one thing someone told me was to deliberately fly slower for a few sessions and focus only on line choice, like dont even try to be fast just try
been competing in local multigp races for about 8 months now, gone from being consistently last to somewhere in the middle of the pack which felt great but the last 2 months my times havent moved at all. like almost exactly the same laptimes across different events and im not sure if its a me problem or a tune problem or what.
running a 5 inch stretched X, f7 stack, xing2 2207 motors, basically a pretty standard race build. rates are where theyre comfortable for me. the issue is i cant tell if im flying the same bad lines every lap and just getting consistent at them, or if my quad actually needs work, or if i just need more air time. dvr footage looks fine to me but im not a great judge of my own flying obviously.
anyone been through this plateau thing and figured out what actually broke them out of it? considering hiring a coach for a session but not sure if thats overkill at my level
