this has been happening more and more lately and its starting to stress me out. im flying my mavic 3 classic and the connection just drops for a few seconds then comes back. drone goes into hover which is fine i guess but its really unsettling when youre 400 feet up. happens mostly when i turn a certain direction, not always but often enough that i noticed the pattern.

ive updated everything, recalibrated the compass, tried different locations. using the DJI RC not the phone one. signal bars look fine right up until it cuts out. really not sure what to try next, havent crashed or anything but feels like its only a matter of time if this keeps happening

the directional thing is a big clue honestly. could be rf interference in your area but more likely its the antenna orientation on the controller. a lot of people dont realize the RC's antennas need to be pointing the right way relative to the drone ? flat face toward the aircraft, not the edges. sounds obvious but ive seen people hold it all kinds of ways. also worth checking if theres any physical damage around the antenna ports on the controller itself even tiny cracks can cause this kind of intermittent stuff

ive had similar weirdness with mine and it turned out to be a specific channel getting crowded at the spot i was flying. switching to a less busy area cleared it up mostly. but yours sounds a bit different with the direction thing. does it happen more when the drone is pointed away from you? becuase that could be the rear facing antennas on the mavic being weaker which is just kind of a known thing with that design afaik
