prebuilt recommendation for someone who just wants to bash around without worrying too much

my buddy wants to get into fpv, not racing just like freestyle and maybe some outdoor bashing. he asked me what to get and honestly i havent kept up with the prebuilt market that well because ive always built mine. i told him to just build one but he really doesnt want to do that and i get it.

budget is probably around 300-400 USD for the whole thing including goggles, he already has a radiomaster boxer so thats covered. analog is fine, he doesnt need digital at this point. whats actually decent in that range right now that wont fall apart after five crashes and isnt going to need a full retune before it even flys decently

i remember the older iflight and geprc stuff had some pretty rough tunes and also some soldering issues but thats like 2-3 years ago so maybe things have improved. or have they

geprc has gotten a lot better honestly. the mark4 and the cinelog stuff had some qc issues but the more recent releases have been pretty solid from what ive seen. for your buddys budget id probably point him at the geprc smart35 or the iflight nazgul5 analog, both come in under 200 which leaves room for goggles. the nazgul5 tune is pretty usable stock, not perfect but flyable out of the box which matters if hes just starting.

one thing id warn him about, make sure whatever he gets ships with props that arent garbage because the stock props on some of these things are genuinely the weakest link and swapping to something like HQprop 5x4.3 makes a noticeable differnece right away

tbh at that total budget including goggles its going to be tight especially if he wants anything decent on the video side. the skyzone scout or the eachine ev300o used are about the only options that dont feel awful. analog goggles new in that price range are kind of a wasteland right now.

alternatively and i know you said he doesnt want to build but even a simple BNF bind and fly without goggles might be smarter as a first step, use a simulator to practice first and save up a bit more. just a thought. ive seen too many people blow their whole budget on gear and then quit because they're crashing constantly with no money left for replacement parts
