got denied on LAANC for a spot that looks totally fine on the map??

so i've been trying to get authorization for a location near me that i fly at pretty regularly and all of a sudden LAANC is just rejecting it automatically. the ceiling shows 0 feet on the B4UFLY app which is weird because its not near any airport i can see. i checked on skyvector too and i dont see anything obvious. is there like a temporary restriction or something that doesnt show up everywhere? or is there some other layer of airspace i'm missing because i'm honestly kind of lost here.

been flying for about two years so im not totally new to this but airspace stuff still trips me up sometimes. i have my part 107 but even that doesnt really help when the authorization just flat out wont go through. anyone dealt with this before?

yeah that happens more than people realize. 0 ft ceiling usually means theres either a TFR sitting on top of it or its inside class B/C surface area that got expanded. the LAANC grid squares dont always line up with what you think you're looking at visually. try pulling up the FAA DroneZone map directly and also check notam.faa.gov for any active TFRs in the area ? sometimes theres a temporary one for like a sporting event or VIP movement that doesnt show up on the consumer apps for a few hours.

also worth checking if theres a national park or wildlife refuge nearby because those have their own restrictions that show as 0 and LAANC just cant authorize those at all, you'd need a waiver which is a whole other thing.
