so i went out last tuesday evening and the light was just perfect, you know that golden hour window where everything looks insane. took my mini 3 out over the reservoir near my place and just kind of let it hover while i played with the exposure settings manually for the first time instead of relying on auto. honestly the difference is night and day once you figure it out.

anyway heres the link to the video i put together, its only like 90 seconds but im pretty happy with how the color grading came out. been using davinci resolve for about two months now and slowly getting the hang of it. would love some feedback especially on the transitions, not sure if the cuts feel too fast or if thats just me being paranoid

https://vimeo.com/example123 (i know the thumbnail looks washed out, still figuring out vimeo settings)

the footage looks really good man, colors came out warm without being overdone which is honestly hard to pull off at sunset. the transitions are fine dont overthink it. only thing id say is that second clip where you pan right feels a tiny bit rushed, like maybe hold it half a second longer before cutting. but thats minor. what ND filter were you running?

oh nice, ive been trying to do something similar over at the river near me but i always go out at the wrong time and end up with really flat light. how do you know when the conditions are going to be good? do you just check weather apps or is there a specific tool for photographers
