so ive had my mini 4 pro for about 3 months now and lately it keeps losing connection to the RC2 controller for like 2-3 seconds at a time. it usually reconnects on its own but yesterday it happened 4 times in a row while i was maybe 400ft away which seems way too close for that to be happening. im flying in a pretty open area too, not near any buildings or towers that i can see. the drone just kind of hovers when it loses signal which i guess is what its supposed to do but its still nerve wracking. anyone dealt with this before or know what might cause it

yeah this happened to me a lot when i first got mine and it turned out my RC2 needed a firmware update that i hadnt done yet. go into the DJI Fly app and check if theres a pending update for the controller itself, not just the drone. they sometimes push them separately and its easy to miss. also worth checking if anything changed on your phone if youre using that instead ? i had an android update once that just wrecked the 2.4ghz signal for some reason

could be interference honestly. 2.4 and 5.8ghz are both pretty crowded depending on where you are. i know you said open area but even if theres a subdivision nearby with a bunch of wifi routers it can cause issues. try switching the transmission frequency manually in the settings instead of leaving it on auto, sometimes auto just picks the worst option at the worst time. that said 400ft is nothing, it should not be dropping at that range under normal conditions so something is definitely off.
