tbh i rented an Inspire 2 for a short film last summer and wasnt prepared for how loud it is compared to what im used to. not a dealbreaker on exteriors but we had one scene where it was closer to tal
so ive been shooting with my Inspire 2 and X7 combo for like 5 years now and its still producing genuinely great footage but im starting to feel the pressure from clients asking about 8K and whether we can match what some of the newer cameras are putting out. the X7 maxes at 6K CinemaDNG which honestly still looks incredible especially with the 16mm lens but i dont know, there's something in the back of my head that keeps wondering if im leaving quality on the table.
the thing that nobody talks about enough is how much the dual battery system and the hot-swappable payload actually matters on a real production day. ive done shoots where we ran 4-5 batteries back to back and the ability to swap the X7 for the Zenmuse X5S mid-shoot saved us when a lens got dusty inside. try doing that with a Mavic 3 Cine. you cant.
anyway the question i guess is whether anyone here has made the jump to something like the Matrice 350 with a cinema payload or if you're still running Inspire 2 for paid work and clients are still happy with it.
