Agras T30 pump inconsistency mid-run ? anyone dealt with this

  • Members

been having a frustrating issue with our T30 that started maybe 3 weeks ago. mid-mission the flow rate will just drop noticeably, not cut out entirely but like it goes from normal to maybe 60-70% of what it should be for a minute or two then comes back. happens randomly, not tied to any particular part of the field or tank level as far as i can tell.

already checked the nozzles, swapped two of them out thinking maybe partial blockage, cleaned the filters, still doing it. firmware is current. we're running a pretty standard diluted herbicide mix so its not like were running anything thick or weird through it. the inconsistency is the part that really bugs me because at least if it failed completely id know what to fix

logging the flow data in the DJI Agras app and you can see the dips pretty clearly so its not just me imagining it. anyone seen this before or have a direction to point me

had something similar on a T20 a while back. turned out to be the pressure sensor giving intermittent bad readings and the pump controller was compensating weirdly. not saying thats definitely your problem but if youve already ruled out physical blockage and the nozzles check out, id look at the sensor side of things. DJI support actually walked us through a diagnostic check for it, might be worth a call if you havent already. they can pull more detailed logs than what shows in the app which helped narrow it down for us.

random thought but what does your tank agitation situation look like. we had something that looked a lot like flow inconsistency and it was actually the mix settling slightly and causing varying viscosity at the inlet. probably not your issue if youre running a simple herbicide but worth mentioning. also ? did this start after a specific job or just gradually appeared? trying to think if something could have gotten into the system

also slightly unrelated but we switched to a different anti-drift nozzle setup last season and it changed our effective coverage enough that we had to re-tune the whole application rate. if anyone else is playing with nozzle configs on the T30 id be curious what youre running
