so i spent probably two months going back and forth between the Mini 3 Pro and the EVO Nano+ and eventually just went with the Autel because i liked the idea of not having geo-fencing baked in at the firmware level. that alone was worth it for me since i fly in some spots that DJI just flat out refuses to unlock even when you have legit LAANC approval.
anyway the thing flies great, footage looks really good especially in decent light, and the obstacle avoidance actually works which i was not expecting at that price point. but a few things caught me off guard. first the battery life is pretty much exactly what they advertise but only if you're flying calm, the second there's any wind you're losing like 4-5 minutes easy. second the app ? and i say this as someone who has used a lot of drone apps ? is just not as polished as DJI Fly. it works, it doesn't crash, but some of the interface choices are just weird. you get used to it.
also nobody told me the case it comes with in the premium bundle is actually decent? i was fully prepared to buy a separate pelican-style case and i just... didn't have to. so that was a nice surprise. anyone else been flying the Nano+ for a while? curious how the gimbal is holding up for people after extended use because mine feels fine at 3 months but ive heard some people have issues
