Agras T10 spray pattern issues ? anyone else dealing with overlap problems on headlands

  • Members

been using the T10 for about one season now and mostly its been great but the headland turns are killing me. the spray system doesnt cut off fast enough when it comes around and im getting noticeable overlap on the ends of runs. i know theres settings for boom shutoff timing and ive played with it but cant seem to dial it in perfectly.

running it in mission mode through the DJI Agras app, field boundaries are set correctly, its not a mapping issue. the drone just seems to keep spraying a beat too long before it lifts and transitions. the overlap isnt catastrophic but on herbicide passes its something i actually care about, especially near field edges where theres sensitive stuff nearby.

anyone figured out the timing compensation settings on these or is this just a known limitation of the platform at this price point

yeah this drove me nuts too. the shutoff delay is real and i dont think DJI has a great solution for it baked into the software at least as of the firmware i was on a few months ago. what worked okay for me was setting the boundary a little tighter than the actual field edge ? basically giving it a buffer so even with the delay youre still inside your intended spray area. its a workaround not a fix but it helped. also make sure your flow rate calibration is spot on because if thats off it compounds the overlap issue at turns.

tbh i wonder if part of this is airspeed at the turn. if its decelerating slower than expected the shutoff timing feels different even if the setting is the same. i noticed mine behaves differently depending on wind conditions on the headlands ? calm days its more consistent. not sure if thats actually related to your issue or not but seemed worth mentioning
