what cases are people actually using for the mini 4 pro

so ive been using the default soft case that came with my fly more combo and honestly its fine but its starting to fall apart at the zipper and i keep seeing people mention hard cases but i dont really know where to start. im not traveling with it constantly or anything, mostly car trips to hiking spots, but i did have a close call where my bag tipped over in the trunk and i nearly had a heart attack.

does anyone have a hard case they actually like or is it one of those things where you just end up buying three before you find the right one. and does it need to be brand specific or do people just use generic pelican style cases with foam cutouts

honestly the pelican route is the way to go if you want something that'll actually protect it. i picked up a 1510 carry-on size for my air 2s and just bought a sheet of pick-n-pluck foam off amazon, took maybe an hour to cut it out properly. cost me like 40 bucks total for the foam and it fits the drone, three batteries, remote, the whole situation. the pelican itself was more but i had it from another hobby.

theres also some smaller options if you dont need carry-on size. just measure everything you want to fit first before you commit, i made the mistake of not accounting for the controller with the screen and had to redo half the foam cutout.

i just got one of those Tomat cases from amazon for my mini 4 and its actually pretty decent for the price? its not a pelican obviously but it has the hard shell and the foam inside was already cut for the mini 4 which was nice. fits the fly more stuff too. only complaint is the handle feels a little cheap but its held up fine so far
