ok so we had maybe 8 or 9 people out at the reservoir spot we use sometimes and it started off great, weather was perfect, everyone had fresh packs. then about an hour in two guys decided to race each other through this gap between some trees and one of them clipped a branch and went down hard. props everywhere, motor mount cracked, the whole thing. he was pretty cool about it but it definitely changed the vibe for a bit. we ended up just doing more chill flying after that and honestly that part was more fun anyway, just cruising around and someone had a long range wing that we passed the goggles around for. that was actually sick, never flown a wing before and the efficiency is just wild compared to what im used to

the wing thing gets everyone. first time i flew a fixed wing in fpv i just kept saying wow out loud like an idiot. glide ratio is insane once you throttle back

crashes at group flights are kind of inevitable honestly especially when people start showing off a little. glad nobody got hurt and sounds like it turned into a good session anyway. which wing was it if you know? im looking at getting into fixed wing this summer and trying to figure out what to start with
