so ive been traveling with my mini 3 pro just stuffed in the original DJI box inside my backpack which i know is terrible but it hasnt died yet lol. finally decided i should probably get an actual case before my luck runs out. been looking at the Carrying Case DJI sells but honestly 80 bucks for a piece of foam seems steep and ive seen mixed reviews about the latches being kinda flimsy.

does anyone have a case they really like and would actually recommend? mostly car travel and the occasional flight so it doesnt need to be super heavy duty, just something that keeps everything together and wont crush the props if i toss my bag in the back seat. bonus if there's room for an extra battery or two and maybe my ND filters.

i went through like three different cases before settling on one and honestly the best bang for buck ive found is just a generic Pelican-style knockoff from Amazon, one of those waterproof hard shell ones with the foam you can pick out yourself. picked up a 1510 clone for like 30 dollars and pulled out the foam to fit exactly what i needed. yeah you gotta spend an hour fiddling with the foam layout but once its done its done and nothing moves around at all. fits two batteries, both sets of props, all my filters, and the drone itself no problem.

the official DJI bags look nice but i agree the price is rough for what you get. also heard the zippers can be an issue on the shoulder bag version specifically.

I got the Lowepro DroneGuard case and its been solid for me, fits in overhead bins on flights which was the main thing I needed. Has some extra pockets for cables and stuff. Only thing is its a bit bulkier than I expected from the photos but not like ridiculously so. Should have room for filters depending on how many you carry.
