Avata 2 vs original FPV drone ? is the upgrade actually worth it for someone already flying the first one

So ive had the original DJI FPV since basically launch and I've put a stupid amount of hours on it. Love the thing, only crashed it hard once and it survived better than I expected. But I keep seeing people talk about the Avata 2 and I'm honestly not sure if it's meant to be a replacement or like a different product entirely.

My main thing is I fly a mix of outdoor open spaces and occasionally tight indoor stuff, warehouses and empty buildings mostly. The original FPV feels almost too big and fast for indoor use honestly, I usually have to dial it down a lot in the DJI Fly app to keep it manageable. Does the Avata 2 actually handle tighter spaces better or is that just marketing. Also wondering about the goggles situation, do I need to buy new goggles if I switch or does the Goggles 3 work with both.

Not looking to sell the FPV drone necessarily, more just curious if anyone has actually flown both and has an honest opinion rather than a review that reads like a press release

I went from the FPV to the Avata 1 not the 2 so grain of salt here but the size and maneuverability difference was immediately obvious. The Avata 2 apparently fixed a lot of the things people complain

yeah the Avata 2 is genuinely a different beast for indoor stuff, the ducted props make a real difference when you're flying near walls and people. I flew the original FPV in a warehouse once and it was fine but you're always one gust or twitch away from shredding something expensive. The Avata 2 just feels more contained if that makes sense.

On the goggles thing ? Goggles 3 work with both which is nice, but if you're still on Goggles 2 from the original FPV setup you'd need to check compatibility, I think there's some limitations there. Honestly the motion controller experience on the Avata 2 is better too if you use that, feels less twitchy for slow cinematic moves through tight spaces.

I went from the FPV to the Avata 1 not the 2 so grain of salt here but the size and maneuverability difference was immediately obvious. The Avata 2 apparently fixed a lot of the things people complained about with the first Avata so if you're already comfortable with FPV drones in general the learning curve shouldnt be bad. My only gripe with the whole DJI FPV ecosystem is how locked in you are to their accessories, like mixing and matching anything outside their stuff gets complicated fast
