ok so this is probably dumb but i spent like two weekends editing this short clip from a beach trip, waterfalls, coastal stuff, tried to do that cinematic thing where you cut to the music. posted it and got like 11 likes most of which were my family. whatever.

anyway im more curious if anyone here wants to actually watch it and tell me whats wrong with it technically because i feel like something is off with the transitions but i cant figure out exactly what. instagram probably compressed it into garbage anyway

instagram absolutely destroys footage, dont even bother judging your work from how it looks there. upload it to vimeo if you want people to actually see it properly. i made that mistake for months before someone told me

yeah the transition thing is tricky, if the cuts arent landing on the beat exactly it feels off even if you cant pinpoint why. i use premiere and there's a beat detection thing that helps but honestly i still do most of it by ear just scrubbing back and forth. drop the vimeo link if you post it there id actually watch it
