so this is probably something dumb but when i hover and take my hands off the controls it slowly drifts to one side. its not a lot but its annoying and im worried about flying near anything. is this normal or is something wrong with mine. its a pretty cheap drone, not a DJI, i think its an eachine or something like that. i calibrated it i think, there was something in the app about it

with budget drones that drifting is honestly just... kind of expected. the GPS on those cheaper ones isnt great and the sensors are pretty basic so it cant hold position as well as something like a Mini or a Mavic. you can sometimes reduce it by doing a proper IMU calibration on a totally flat surface, and make sure youre not calibrating near anything metal. but realistically if you want it to just sit in the air and stay put, you need to spend more money. not trying to be harsh, just the reality of the cheaper hardware

yeah i had the same thing with my first drone, also a cheap one. the trim buttons are what you want to look for, most of the budget ones have them on the controller and you can basically nudge the center point so it compensates for the drift. took me forever to figure that out. also do you know if yours has optical flow or just barometer for hovering? if its just baro then some drift is basically inevitable indoors especially
