so anyway went to my first proper drone meetup last weekend, the one out near the old fairgrounds. had a blast but wow i was not prepared for how chaotic it gets when like 20 people are all flying at once. my fpv quad nearly got tangled up with some guys long range fixed wing which would have been a disaster, we both just kind of panicked and went in opposite directions. nobody crashed thankfully but definitely gonna pay more attention to what other people are doing next time before i just yeet myself into the air. also met some really cool people, one guy had a custom built 7 inch that sounded absolutely insane. definitely going back

haha yeah the first time is always like that. most clubs have a designated flight pattern or altitude splits for different types of aircraft but not everyone bothers explaining that to new people. worth asking whoever is running it before you fly, saves a lot of near misses
