so ive been flying my tiny whoop for a while now and want to build my first proper 5 inch quad. been looking at frames under $40 but theres so many options its kind of overwhelming. want something that can handle crashes since im still learning acro and will probably eat dirt a few times

mostly gonna be flying around my neighborhood and maybe some light freestyle once i get better. dont need anything fancy just something solid that wont snap in half when i inevitably slam it into a tree

anyone have experience with the cheaper frames on banggood or should i just bite the bullet and get something more expensive

honestly for your first build id go with something like the source one v4 or armattan chameleon. yeah theyre a bit more than $40 but trust me you dont want to be rebuilding constantly because your frame cracked. ive been through probably 6 cheap frames in my first year and wouldve saved money just getting something decent upfront

the chameleon especially is bombproof, still flying mine after 2 years of abuse

dude i feel you on the budget thing but maybe check out the geprc mark4 frames? got one last month for like $35 and its held up pretty well so far. had a few decent crashes and no cracks yet. the arms are pretty thick too which helps

also if youre just starting acro maybe consider getting a sim first? saved me a ton on repairs when i was learning
