so ive been flying for about two years now and realized i've never actually flown with other people in person. always just solo stuff at the local field or wherever. been watching videos of those big group fly-ins and it looks honestly really fun, way different vibe than just going out alone. does anyone know if theres anything happening in like georgia, tennessee, carolinas area this summer? i dont even know where to look besides just googling and half those results are from 2019 or whatever

AMA has a club locator on their site, thats usually the best starting point for finding actual organized events near you. most clubs do at least one or two fly-ins a year, sometimes more. also check facebook groups for your state, theres usually a georgia fpv group and a few others that post meetup stuff pretty regularly. the big multi-rotor events like Flite Fest are worth the drive if you can swing it, went a few years back and it was kind of overwhelming in the best way

same boat as you tbh, been looking for stuff in NC. found one club that meets monthly at a grass field about 40 mins from me but havent made it out yet. keep meaning to go
