so i finally worked up the nerve to post some footage on instagram and honestly the response was kind of crushing. not like anyone was mean or anything but i got like 4 likes and one of them was my mom. i know i know, everyones gotta start somewhere but watching it back now i can see everything wrong with it — the gimbal pitch is all over the place, i kept flying into the sun which washed everything out, and there's this one bit where i panic and the whole drone just kind of lurches sideways for no reason.

anyway im not quitting or anything just wondering if anyone else felt like this early on. also is there a way to smooth out that pitch movement in post or is it just always gonna look bad

dude every single one of my first videos was garbage. like unwatchably bad. i deleted most of them. the lurching thing is just muscle memory, it goes away after a while when your hands stop tenseing up on the sticks. dont be too hard on yourself

for the gimbal pitch in post you can try the warp stabilizer in premiere but honestly if it's bad enough it'll just make everything look weird and wobbly. better fix is probably just cutting around the bad bits for now until the flying gets more natural. also instagram is rough for drone stuff anyway, i get way more traction just posting in forums like this where people actually care about the craft
