so anyway i finally just bit the bullet and uploaded something. its about 3 minutes of footage from a coastal trip i did last month, mix of wide orbits and some low passes over the rocks. spent way too long on the color grade and im still not sure if i over-saturated the blues or not. used davinci resolve for the first time which was a whole thing in itself honestly.

the main thing im wondering is whether the pacing feels off, i feel like maybe i held some of the shots too long but i also didnt want to make it too choppy. its hard to tell when youve watched your own edit like 40 times you know. not looking for likes just genuine thoughts if anyone has a few minutes

totally get the watching your own edit too many times problem, your brain just stops seeing it properly after a while. my rule of thumb is if im second guessing a cut, i usually just make the clip shorter. coastal stuff is tough to pace because the movement is so slow and peaceful but then it can drag. would watch it

davinci for the first time is a rabbit hole lol i spent like two weeks just figuring out nodes. dont stress too much about the saturation thing, blues almost always look more intense on monitors than on phones where most people actually watch. just post the link already
