anyone else just sit outside and watch other peoples drones?

so i was at the park yesterday waiting for my buddy to show up and some guy was flying what looked like an air 3 or maybe a mini 4, hard to tell from the ground. but i just sat there for like 20 minutes watching it and honestly it was kind of relaxing. didnt even have my own stuff with me. weird how that works, like you can enjoy the hobby from the other side too

anyway made me think about how normies see us when we're out flying. probably looks pretty chill from their end actually

    lol yeah i do this at the beach sometimes. theres this one older dude who flies there every saturday morning and he's genuinely really good, does these long slow coastal runs and the thing just glides

honestly the public perception thing is real, i feel like people are way less annoyed by drones than they were a few years ago. used to get dirty looks constantly now most people just kind of glance up and go back to whatever. progress i guess
