went to my first real meetup last month and idk it was kind of weird? like everyone was super nice dont get me wrong but theres this unspoken thing where you feel like people are judging your flying and your gear. maybe thats just me being anxious but i noticed a few guys definitely looking over when i was doing my thing

also the whole frequency coordination stuff with fpv is a headache when theres like 8 people trying to fly at once. we had two guys go down because of interference or something, one guy lost his quad in a tree for like 20 minutes. still had fun overall but wasnt quite what i imagined

lol the tree thing is so real. every single group fly ive been to someone ends up stuck in a tree. its practically a tradition at this point

the judging feeling goes away after you go a few times honestly. most people are just watching because they like watching quads fly, not because theyre critiquing you

the interference issue is no joke, we had a similar situation at ours and it turned into a whole argument about who was on what channel. now the guy who runs ours does a quick check before anyone arms. its annoying but it works. might be worth suggesting to whoever organizes yours
