so i went out last tuesday around 6:30 and the light was just insane, one of those golden hour situations where everything looks like its been edited even tho i barely touched the colors in post. took the mini 3 out over the lake near my house and honestly im pretty happy with how it came out for once

usually my footage looks kinda flat but i think shooting in d-log and then doing a proper grade made a huge difference. still learning the color stuff but yeah. anyone wanna take a look and give honest feedback? not looking for compliments just actual critique if somethings off about the horizon or the movement or whatever

dude just post it even if its not perfect, half the point of sharing is getting eyes on it before you convince yourself its bad. ive definitely over-edited stuff after sitting on it too long and made it worse

d-log grades are tricky on the mini 3 specifically bc the dynamic range isnt as wide as people think, so sometimes you push the shadows and it gets noisy fast. curious to see what you did with the highlights over the water

yeah post it lol, sunset over water is hard to mess up too badly anyway. whats your shutter speed situation, were you doing the 180 rule or just letting it auto?
