so ive been flying for about 8 months now and honestly most of my footage has been pretty meh but last weekend i went out to the coast around golden hour and i think i finally got something worth sharing. mostly did slow orbit shots around the cliffs and a long pull-back reveal over the water. colors came out way better than i expected straight out of the drone, barely touched them in post.

gonna try to link the youtube cut later but wanted to see if anyone has tips on what they look for when they review their own coastal stuff — like how do you know when a shot is actually good vs when you just think it is because you were there

that pull-back reveal over water is genuinely one of those shots that almost always works if the timing is right. golden hour cliffs basically does half the work for you lol. the thing i do when reviewing is wait a day or two before i watch it back — if it still hits when you forgot you shot it then its probably actually good and not just the memory of being there making it feel cool

post the link when you have it, always down to watch coastal footage. and yeah what he said about waiting before reviewing is real, ive convinced myself stuff was amazing on the day and then watched it back a week later like... oh. thats just okay.
