so this happend yesterday and i cant stop thinking about it. was out flying my mini and this older guy comes up and just starts asking me all these questions, like how far can it go, how much did it cost, can it see into peoples houses (lol). and i just kind of froze up because i never really know how much to explain or if people are gonna get weird about it.

ended up talking to him for like 20 minutes though and he was actually really cool, used to do RC planes back in the day. made me think i should talk to people more instead of just ignoring everyone. or maybe that was just a fluke and most people are annoying about it idk

mostly people are curious which is fine but yeah you do get the occasional person who acts like youre doing something illegal just by standing there. had a woman tell me i needed a permit to fly in a public park once. i didnt. she was very confident though

The RC plane guys are always the best to talk to. There's a whole generation of those dudes who basically did everything we do now just with way more effort and way less GPS to bail them out. I always stop and chat if someone like that comes up. Good conversations usually.
