so i was at a family thing last weekend and someone asked what hobbies i have and i said drones and got like... the look. you know the look. like i said i collect toenail clippings or something. one of my cousins immediately went "oh so you spy on people" and i just kind of gave up trying to explain it. does anyone else just not bother mentioning it anymore or is it just me being weird about it. i dunno feels like people either think its super cool or immediately assume youre some kind of creep

yeah i stopped bringing it up unprompted a while ago. if someone asks i say i do aerial photography which sounds way less weird for some reason even though its literally the same thing

lol the spy comment. ive heard that so many times. my neighbour still gives me side eye when im in the backyard even though ive shown her my footage and explained how the cameras work. some people just have their minds made up i think. i just smile and nod now honestly
