so ive been seeing posts about a fly-in happening at the riverside park field on saturday and im thinking about heading out. never been to one of these group things before, usually just fly solo at my usual spot. do you just show up or is there like a registration thing? also not sure if my 5 inch is gonna fit in with the crowd or if its mostly like park flyers and wing guys at these things

just show up man, at least for the smaller local ones. ive been to a few and its pretty chill, nobody cares what you fly. there's usually a mix of everything — quads, wings, some guys with giant scale warbirds doing low passes which honestly never gets old. bring extra props cause someone always asks to borrow some lol

i went to one last spring and honestly wasnt sure what to expect either. ended up being way more fun than flying alone, got to try someones long range wing which was cool. only weird part was theres usually one guy who wants to talk your ear off about his setup for like 45 minutes straight but thats just how it is
