so i finally went to one of those local meetup things after talking about it forever and it was... fine i guess. felt weird flying with a bunch of strangers watching. like i kept second guessing every move i made because i thought people were judging my flying. ended up landing way earlier than i wanted to. maybe im just not a social flyer lol. does this get better the more you go or is it always kind of like that

yeah the first one is always weird. you get in your own head. honestly after a couple times you stop caring and just fly. the people there are usually way too focused on their own stuff to watch you anyway. stick with it

i feel this so much lol. went to my first one back in spring and literally crashed within the first ten minutes because i was so nervous. everyone was cool about it but still. now i actually look forward to them though so it does get better. also helps if you already know even one person there, way less awkward than showing up solo
