thinking about getting a prebuilt 5inch, is the diatone roma f5 still worth it in

so ive been building my own quads for a few years now but honestly im just tired of spending weekends soldering and troubleshooting ESC issues before i even get to fly. been looking at prebuilts more seriously lately and the roma f5 keeps coming up but i cant tell if thats just old forum threads talking or if its still actually a solid option.

my main thing is i want something that flies well out of the box, or at least close to it. i know no prebuilt is perfect and ill probably have to touch the PIDs anyway but i dont want to spend the first two weeks just fighting the thing. flying mostly freestyle, some light cinematic stuff, outdoor fields and a few spots in the woods near me.

is there anything else in that price range worth looking at or has the roma f5 held up? also curious if people are running it on 6S or sticking with 4S, ive seen mixed stuff about that.

the roma f5 is still decent but honestly if you can stretch the budget a little the iflight nazgul evoque is worth the extra cash. the f5 will need some PID work before it feels right, which i know isnt what you want but its like 20 minutes in betaflight not a whole weekend. ran mine on 6S from day one and it rips, 4S feels kinda flat on that frame to me. just swap the props out of the box, the stock ones are garbage and youll immediately feel the difference.

one thing to watch on the roma f5 is the ESC heat if youre doing longer packs. had mine throttle back on me a couple times in summer before i improved the airflow a bit. not a dealbreaker but worth knowing.

i got one about 8 months ago and its been my main flyer since. didnt really have to do much to it honestly, flew it stock for probably the first 10 packs and then tweaked the rates a bit but thats personal preference stuff not like it was unflyable. im not a super aggressive pilot so take that for what its worth i guess.
